Bring It! Downtown and Park Free First Hour in City Parking Decks

Parking is easy and affordable in downtown Wilmington, with a variety of options to choose from.   Wilmington is a walkable downtown, so after you bring your car downtown, all you have to do is park in one of the convenient city parking decks, lots, or on-street areas listed below, then enjoy a day of leisure to stroll around beautiful, unique, historic downtown Wilmington.                                  

Market Street Deck

115 Market Street

Entrances on Market Street between Second and Front Streets, and on Second Street between Princess and Market Streets. First hour is free.

Second Street Deck

114 N. Second  Street

Entrances on Second Street between Princess and Chestnut Streets, and Third Street between Princess and Chestnut Streets. First hour is free.

Deck Parking Rates

First hour of parking free, $1 per hour after the first hour/$8 daily maximum

$5 flat rate pay upon entry Thursday through Saturday after 9:00 pm

$7 special event rate for Azalea Festival, 4th of July, Riverfest, and New Year’s Eve

Decks use Pay-In-Lane stations for convenience and ease of use 24/7

Convention Center Deck

515 Nutt Street.  Entrance is on Nutt Street between Red Cross and Hanover Streets.  Hourly parking with $13 daily max.   Electronic payment only.

Street Parking

  • There are over 760 metered spaces throughout downtown.  Fee is $1.25 per hour, enforced Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am until 6:30 pm.  Coins, tokens, and Pay-by-Phone accepted.
  • Parking fee is $1.25 per hour, enforced Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am until 6:30 pm.  Coins, cash, credit/debit cards, tokens, merchant coupon, or Pay-by-Phone are accepted.
  • Metered and street parking fees are not enforced on Sundays, or on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
  • Metered on-street parking for those with properly displayed, valid handicapped placards is FREE of charge in Historic Downtown.
  • Front Street between Dock and Princess Streets is a TAXI STAND from midnight until 3:00 am every day.  Parking is prohibited on these blocks during those hours.
  • Pay-by-Phone parking is available for both metered and Paystation street parking.  Set up an account with a credit card here, and when you park downtown, call 888-380-7275 and enter your meter or parking space number and the amount of time you wish to park.
